🏗️ What’s Opening Around Town

1. Whole Foods Market sets its Midlothian Depot opening date (Thu, Nov 19 at 8:00 AM): Chesterfield’s first Whole Foods — 36,000 sq. ft. at 1051 Steam Ave. — opens Thursday, Nov 19 at 8:00 AM and will run 8 AM–9 PM daily, stocked with local products like Blanchard’s coffee, Don Sebastian salsas, and Hardywood beer. Cheba Hut (1124 Steam Ave.) is already open next door, with Dave’s Hot Chicken, Turning Point, Pure Green, Paris Baguette, Bibibop, Warby Parker, J.Crew, and Lovesac among the tenants still to come (Richmond BizSense).
2. A retro video game & Pokémon shop is opening on Robious: Local couple Luke and Nicole Baab are opening Retro Room inside Robious Hall Shopping Center (10060 Robious Rd., 1,050 sq. ft., near Total Wine), planned to be open Wed–Sun with restored classic consoles, vintage games, and Pokémon cards — check their hours page before you go (Macaroni KID feature).
3. The Lazy Graze opens a charcuterie studio & micro-event space at Sycamore Square: Barbara Bliley is opening a 1,400-sq.-ft. storefront this month at 1334 Sycamore Square Dr. (~34 seated) for Build-A-Board charcuterie workshops, showers, and small parties (Richmond BizSense).
4. Corridor Quick Hits (Turnpike, Hull Street & Bon Air): Chicken Salad Chick leased 2,811 sq. ft. at 14210 Midlothian Turnpike (Pipeline); Nash & Smashed is taking the former Maple Street Biscuit Co. space in Bon Air (2061 Huguenot Rd.) (The Stew); and Capriotti’s plans to open early next year at Cosby Village Square on Hull Street at Otterdale (BizSense).
